Greece: Homes of 3 Anarchist Group Rouvikonas members raided by police

anarchy

On Tuesday July 17th, the jackals of the police raided the homes of three comrades who are members of the anarchist collective Rouvikonas, following an anonymous tip regarding weapons in the comrades’ homes. The raids were futile and the comrades are not facing any charges.

The tactic of anonymous tipping is not deployed for the first time against those who fight and choose to expose themselves publicly through their political actions. These tactics fulfill the role of the police as a historical mechanism of repression against grassroots struggles and as an institutional arm of the mafia and the parastate. The intrusion into the comrades’ homes is the continuation of previous actions, starting with the recent ”cleanse” operation in Exarcheia where the police mafia visited with their friends to plan common business activities in the area, aiming to create impressions.

The intrusion into the comrades’ homes aims at their targeting and paves the way for further persecutions. These actions do not terrorize us and they certainly cannot stop the struggle for social justice against the capital and the parastate.

Solidarity with the comrades of the anarchist collective Rouvikonas.
