Greek Prisons: Update from Revolutionary Struggle Prisoner Nikos Maziotis on Day 24 of Hunger Strike

NIKOS

04.12.2017

They briefed us a short time ago that Prison Prosecutor Savaidis intends to order our immediate transfer to the Korydallos Prison Hospital for involuntary hospitalization one day after we demanded to be returned to prison after our demand to have phone communication with our son as a condition for us being transferred to hospital was refused.*

As an immediate reaction I destroyed the lights in the corridor and caused damage in the cells by breaking plumbing, sinks and basins.

WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN, WE WILL NOT GIVE UP UNTIL OUR DEMANDS ARE SATISFIED. WE WILL CONTINUE THE HUNGER STRIKE UNTIL THE END.

Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle

*Note from Insurrection News – According to a post written by comrades in solidarity on Athens Indymedia, Revolutionary Struggle prisoners Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis were transferred to TZANEIO Regional Hospital in Piraeus on December 2nd. Although the text by Nikos does not make it clear, when he describes damaging the cells we presume it refers to where he is being kept in TZANEIO Hospital. As always, we welcome any needed corrections to our translation from Greek speaking comrades.
